Prahran True Blues have smashed an amazing 4/261 in its Vic Super Slam clash with Kingston Hawks this evening at Walter Galt Oval. The total is the second-highest total in any Premier T20 match, bettered only by Carlton's incredible 1/264 against Geelong in 2008-09.
Leading the charge was James Billington (112 off 58 balls, 10 fours, 5 sixes), ably assisted by Lachlan Bangs (81 off 31 balls, 4 fours, 9 sixes) and skipper Jake Hancock (42* off 26 balls, 5 fours, 1 six). The True Blues duly completed victory, bowling the Hawks out for 117, with Carl Sandri (4/11) cleaning up.
In the Stars Conference, the Heat continued their unbeaten run with an easy win over the Magpies, but it has tightened up thereafter, with six teams on four or three points. In the other game, the Rams welcomed back dual premiership star Matt Gale (4/23) to account for the Tigers.
In the Renegades Conference, the Blues also remain undefeated by thumping the Dragons, while the Kangaroos and the Doggies recorded their first wins by defeating the Bombers and the Cats respectively.
