The Dragons and the Panthers had important wins last night in the Vic Super Slam. The Dragons' win over the Demons sees them move into second spot in the Renegades Conference, one point behind the unbeaten Blues. In the Stars Conference, the Panthers also move to second, two points behind the Heat, who last night suffered their first defeat at the hands of the Swans.
There were plenty of thrills and tight finishes in this week's action. In the Renegades Conference, on Tuesday night the Cats got up to beat Melbourne Uni off the last ball of the match. The Bombers beat the Dogs with just one ball to spare and the Lions held out the Kangaroos to win by just one run.
In the Stars Conference the Tigers beat the Saints with seven balls to spare, the Rams held out the Hawks to win by two runs and the Swans successfully defended a moderate 114, bowling out the previously undefeated Heat for 99.
Just two rounds remain, one next Wednesday evening and the other on January 15, before Semi Finals and Final on 19 January.
